Step 1: Sektfrukost.
Finally we must first pass the test No. 1: getting up at 7.30am when we went to bed few hours earlier. Suddenly the prospect of going to spend three hours standing in the wind watching clown in polystyrene boats seems a little less attractive. Fortunately these bad thoughts go away quickly with water from the shower. First breakfast in the lounge based blueberry pie home. Management and the downtown, the weighted bags of food and drink for the whole day.

We find a place high enough on the River. Before the crowd rushing at Gamla Torget, we decided to be complacent. For now. And then comes the traditional Sektfrukost: champagne breakfast. At 8 o'clock in the morning, we would certainly have preferred a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate but ... Incidentally, nobody actually makes a Champagnefrukost. We're students and we are in Sweden, but it sounds Mosserandefrukost immediately worse ... But everyone drinks sparkling wine.
Step 2: Forsränning on Fyrisån.
Principle: Students from different faculties of Uppsala and the rest of Sweden built a kind of soapbox with which they hope to get River. The boats usually makes for quite friable and rather submersible ...
10h: first boats to arrive. At the point where we are, nothing extraordinary happens except for some attempts at ramming (including the shameful, a pseudo panzer on peaceful replica Linnaeus Hammarby) and a few jets of water bombs.
themes are quite varied: the Smurfs giant bottle of champagne, to Moby Dick and a replica of Marie Curie. It will be noted, however, two Forsmark (the famous nuclear plant located a hundred kilometers of Uppsala, remembered that this was the good memories of the Swedes by an incident that could escalate, and also by the rate of blood alcohol level of its employees ...) and a penchant for military buildings, and numerous tributes Carl von Linné.

After some time, we move to the first fall of the trail in front of the Upplandsmuseet. Crowd. But with a little patience and psychology, (hint: get behind the guy who wants to scream listen that he is dying of cold is a good idea) we end up ideally placed to admire the acrobatic passages more or less the obstacle ...
Here, we see everything from total disintegration, the surviving raffiots but send everyone to the bath, spectacular reversals ... Well, obviously there are those for whom this is as a letter in the mail. But it's much less funny.

At noon all the boats are gone. Lunch and rest of the day to come ...
